Four of the five Brecon View lodges have their own private sauna. Here is how to build the perfect hot and cold ritual between sauna, fresh mountain air and your private hot tub.
Four of the five lodges at Brecon View have their own private sauna, and pairing it with the hot tub is one of the simplest pleasures of a stay here. Here is how to make the most of it.
The ritual
- Heat. Spend 10 to 15 minutes in the sauna. Sit higher for more heat, lower for less.
- Cool. Step outside into the fresh air for a few minutes. On a cold evening in the valley, this is the best part.
- Soak. Slide into the hot tub and let your muscles go.
- Rest. Wrap up, drink plenty of water and do absolutely nothing for a while.
Repeat two or three times. You will sleep better than you have in months.
A few sensible tips
Drink water before and after, avoid alcohol while you are using the sauna, and listen to your body. If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, check with your doctor first.
Which lodges have a sauna?
Lavender, Mint, Rosemary and Thyme each have a private sauna, available for an additional £30. Love Nest swaps the sauna for a wood fired hot tub and an outdoor cinema.
