If you want to plan the day around it, the Black Mountain and Llyn y Fan Fach are about fifteen minutes away, with views that make an unforgettable backdrop. Walk up in the afternoon, come back to the lodge and let the setup do the rest.

Yes. Rosemary and Thyme each have two bedrooms and sleep four, with a private hot tub and sauna, so they are ideal for a birthday getaway with friends or family.
No. Everything is set up before you arrive and check in is self check in with a lockbox, so the surprise stays a surprise until you open the door.
The more notice the better, but let me know when you book and I will do everything I can, even for last minute plans.
Of course. The private sauna is £30 in every lodge except Love Nest, and dogs are welcome in every lodge for £30 per dog.
